Good day to you all from Texas. We are in the first week of 2026 and it would be a good time to meditate on being Christ like.

The title of our devotion today is, ” What’s in your mind ” Philippians Chapter Two verse 5 says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians Chapter two gives us a picture of the mind of Christ. Obviously it doesn’t give us everything about the mind of Christ, 1st Corinthians two verse sixteen says, who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. Just a few things here in Philippians chapter two about the mind of Christ. Verse 7 He made himself of no reputation, verse 8 He humbled himself. When we look at the person of Jesus He never did anything for Himself it was always for others. Every miracle Jesus did was for others, Even Him coming from heaven to earth was not for Himself but was for you and me. Think about His life and then think about our life, think about His mind and about our mind, are we even coming close to thinking like Jesus when it comes to this life that we live. Are we doing what Jesus said when He said, If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow me, Luke Chapter 9 verse 23. Some might say , well I’m not Jesus, and that is true You’re not and I’m not but like the Apostle Paul said in First Corinthians Chapter 11 and verse 1, follow me as I follow Christ and the word follow means to imitate . Let’s start this new year off by getting ourselves out of the way and praying that God would give us the mind of Christ.
