We are now entering the holiday season, and it is a great time to be thankful for what we have.

Our devotion today is called, ” Why be thankful? ” Psalm 107:1 says, OH, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. We all have people in our lives that we are thankful for. A great Mom or Dad, sister or brother, aunt or uncle or a friend. There is someone who covers all those plus and it’s God. This verse says that He is good. Remember what Jesus said in Mark 10:18 when a person came up to Jesus and said good teacher and Jesus responded by saying, Why do you call Me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. There is only one person in the whole universe that is worthy of being called good and that is God Almighty. Why be thankful? Because if you have come to know Him as your Savior you are a blessed person and very fortunate to be who you are in Christ Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. If HIs mercy has come to your house give a big AMEN! God is worthy to be thankful to, give Him thanks today. Pray for Pastor Tom because he is going through some medical issues.
