Our devotion today is called, ” Why Jesus? ” John 14:6 Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me. Jesus in this one statement eliminated all other religions! What a bold statement. One man said about Jesus, He is either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. “He is Lord, no doubt”. The reason I believe in Jesus is, 1, I was filled with His Holy Spirit which opened up my spiritual eyes, like the line in the song Amazing grace, I once was blind but now I see. But also He fulfilled over 300 prophecies from old testament to the new. One man said to fulfill just 8 of those prophecies would be like filling the state of Texas with silver dollars, painting one of them red, blindfolding a man and that man picking the red one on the first try. His life shouts out that He was no ordinary human being. The miracles alone says that. He caused the blind to see, healed the lepers, walked on water and last but not least, He rose from the dead. 1st Corinthians 15 says that over 500 people at once saw Him risen from the dead. So I will put my trust in Jesus above all else because of who He is and what He has done.
