Our devotion today is called, ” You are LORD ” Psalm 97:9 says, For You, LORD, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. As humans we have a tendency to put people on a pedestal. Whether it’s rock stars, movie stars, or even pastors. There is nothing wrong with appreciating someone’s talent but sometimes we go too far. The one person in this universe we should be in awe of is Jesus. He is exalted far above the rest. You see, He is the one who formed each person in their Mother’s womb, Psalm 139:13-14. His ways are beyond finding out. They are as far above us as the heavens are from the earth, Isaiah 55:8-9. There are a lot of amazing things in our world, but God is the one who created all things, Genesis 1:1. He is the one who is above all god’s, small g! He is the most high and the one who is to be exalted above all gods or idols. When we meditate on who God is it helps us to understand His greatness. I hope that you get a glimpse of who He is today.
