Daily Devotion
Better late than never
Good day to you all from the great state of Texas. It is so good to wake up to another day and know that God is in control!
” Better late than never ” Is the title of our devotion today. In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 20 verse 16 it says, so the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called but few chosen. The prior verses speak of a landowner that was hiring people for the day, he hired them at 9:30, at noon and at 3:30 and then finally at the end of the day when they were receiving their pay the person that was hired last got the same amount as the person that was hired first so those that were hired first began to complain. And at verse 13 it says but he answered one of them and said, friend I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? This is a wonderful picture of how a person that gets saved, it could be at the end of their life, will get the same salvation as those that have been walking with God for years. Don’t ever think that it is too late to come to Christ, don’t ever think that you have done too much bad in your life to come to Christ, don’t ever think that Christ does not want you because He does. In Second Peter Chapter 3 verse 9 it says the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. This can also mean at the end of the age that we are very close to the rapture of the church where God takes his people home and you could be the last person. It’s better late than never to get into heaven, but don’t wait too long. You’re liable to miss the boat!
Have a wonderful blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
