Well happy Wednesday and we are going live tonight at 8PM Texas time if you would like to join for worship and the word.

Our devotion today is called, “Going with the flow ” Matthew Chapter 7 and verse 13 says, enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. I once heard a man say, any dead fish can float downstream and it is so true. To be a child of God means that we begin to go against the flow, in other words, the ways of this world. I’ve noticed as I get old that every generation goes along with the styles and ways of the rock stars and movie stars and usually that is not a good thing. I remember seeing a Billy Graham crusade with Franklin his son standing beside him as a teenager and he had a Beatle haircut and a tie dye shirt on and you could tell he was being influenced by the ways of this world. But the Bible says train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. Franklin is serving the Lord today and running a huge ministry. Paul called this journey a fight in 1st Timothy 6:12 and a wrestle in Ephesians 6:12-13. It’s harder to go upstream against the flow but the results are eternal life in heaven with the King of Kings. Choose this day whom you will serve? As for me and my house we will serve the Lord!
