Good day to you all and I hope you had a blessed weekend.

” Brainwashed ” Is the title of our devotion this morning. Ephesians 5:26 says that He might sanctify and cleanse her by the washing of the water by the word. The Scripture is speaking of Jesus cleansing us, His church by his word. Romans chapter 12 verse 1 and 2 speaks of this as renewing our mind. Years ago me and Tina and some of our friends were sitting on the front lawn of my friend’s house watching fireworks that were going on down the street and a young man came by and started talking to us. We began sharing the love of Jesus with this young man who had been drinking and he began to tell us we were brainwashed. And I remember us telling this young man yes our brains have been washed clean by Jesus Christ. It is amazing how the Word of God cleans up our thinking. In the book of Philippians chapter 4 and verse 8 It tells us to meditate on good things, In the Gospel of Luke chapter two and verse 19 Says, But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. That is what the Lord wants of us, is to meditate on His word and study His Word, second Timothy 2:`5. To allow God’s word to dwell in our hearts and minds washes us clean and gets our thinking straightened out. My great nephew David who was missing has been texting me and asking me what scriptures to read and I gave Matthew chapters 5 through 7 Sermon on the Mount. This is the longest sermon Jesus ever gave and it is great council for us to live our lives in a godly manner. Let the blood of Jesus and the word of God clean up our thinking so we can become more like Jesus.
