Let’s say a prayer, Heavenly Father, we thank you for another day and we pray that our day will be a good one. This Life deals us some tough things but your word promises the best is yet to come and so we thank you Lord we have heaven in our future and that we will see our loved ones again that have passed before us. We love you Lord Amen.

Our devotion today is called, ” Don’t be foolish. ” Proverbs 30 and verse 32 says, If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, Put your hand on your mouth. The temptation of exalting yourself always comes when we do something good. It’s in our nature to want to take credit for the good we do. But God’s word is so clear that if anyone glory let him glory in the Lord, 1st Corinthians Chapter One and verse 31 says, “He who glories, Let him glory in the Lord”. Because, just think about it. It is God who gives us the abilities to do what we do. Ephesians Chapter 4 verse 11 says, And He Himself gave some to be Apostles, Some evangelists, And some pastors and teachers. So in other words, it is God who gives whatever gift we have to us. Now the second part says, or if you have devised evil. I believe that it is an evil thing to take credit to yourself when all credit should be given to the Lord. And it goes as far as to say put your hand on your mouth, So, it is better that I be quiet, Don’t say anything if you can’t give God the glory for it. The Lord God from heaven is worthy of all our praise, honor and glory and whenever anything goes good and we end up doing good deeds. Our hearts should always be thankful that God would allow us to do something good in His name. To God be the glory for every good thing I have done and I will take credit for the bad! So, If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, Put your hand on your mouth. And we all agree by saying Amen!
