Please continue to pray for Smitty and Birdman for a safe trip and our devotion on this Wednesday is called, ” Don’t let anyone cheat you “, In Col chapter 2 and verse 8 it says, Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the traditions of men, According to the basic principles of the world, And not according to Christ. Verse 9 says, For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; In these days there were people that were known as agnostics and they believed that no man could live in a perfect body and not sin. As a whole they were right but when it came to Jesus they were dead wrong. The philosophers would sit around and try to get smarter and smarter and they would act upon the traditions of men and not the work of the Holy Spirit. Verse 9 makes it very clear that in Jesus dwells all the fullness of God. Jesus is God! Years ago when I was a new believer I got a series of tapes from a man named Bill Cetnar, Who was 3rd highest in the Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was on how to witness to Jehovah’s Witnesses and in those tapes he brought up to stick with who Jesus is and that’s exactly what Paul is doing with the Colossian church. Don’t let anyone cheat you out of the riches of the Gospel which are all in Jesus Christ. Beware, Because there are false teachers everywhere. 1st John Chapter One and Verse One Says, Test the spirits to see if they are of God. How do we do that? By the Word of God!
