Helping others
Good day to you all and happy Monday. Please continue to pray for our country for victory and for Israel for victory. And pray for my niece Misty and her husband Zach. Their daughter Faith has moved to North Carolina and I know how that hurts when your child moves to another state, Pray for comfort.
Our Devotion on this Monday is called, ” Helping others ” Proverbs Chapter 22 and verse 9 says, he who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor. A generous eye is someone who is looking to help someone else. Acts Chapter 20 and Verse 35 says, I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Sometimes I watch a show with these brothers who help people by putting new gutters on their homes and a new metal roof and they do it all for free. To watch as these people get blessed and don’t have to worry about a leaky roof any longer It’s such a blessing. I remember years ago there was a show called Extreme Home Makeover. On one of the shows there was an elderly lady in LA that used to feed the poor and they heard about this lady and went and fixed her whole house up for her and bought her a brand new barbecue and as they were looking at the neighborhood they began to fix the houses And I’ll never forget a lady looking into the camera that was helping with the crew and there were tears running down her face and she was talking about what a blessing it was to do this. I thought of this verse and I think of Proverbs chapter 22 and verse 9 that says he who has a generous eye will be blessed. You will never know until you give of yourself to help others. For he gives of his bread to the poor. In other words he takes out of his own pocket to help someone else who has so little. Proverbs chapter 19 and verse 17 says, He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given. God works hand in hand with His children as we give to those that are in need and what a blessing that is!
Have a wonderful blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
