“Jealousy”, Is the title of our devotion today. In Mark chapter one verses 40 and 41 it says and there came to Him, beseeching Him, and kneeling down to Him, and saying to Him, if thou wilt, you can make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth His hand, and touched him, and said to him, I will, be clean. Leprosy is a type of sin just like jealousy. If you look at the last letters of jealousy it spells out lousy and that’s exactly what it is. Jealousy is a work of the flesh just like lying, murder, stealing and all the rest. Jealousy is right there with them and it is such an ugly thing to have in your life. I truly believe that it was jealousy that ended up getting Charlie Kirk murdered. So many people get mad because of his intellect. He was able to answer everything they threw at him and so often he used the word of God to do it. Jealousy can lead to all kinds of other sins if we are not careful. If you have jealousy towards anything or anyone ask God to remove it from your life. It is a lousy thing to have jealousy in your heart towards anything because jealousy is a work of the flesh. It was jealousy that caused Joseph’s brothers to beat him up and sell him into slavery.
