Good morning, Afternoon, Or evening whenever you read this. I pray that you are blessed and that you will have a great day in spite of what may be going on in your life.

The title of our devotion today is called, ” Life is too short to be hatin ” Proverbs Chapter 27 and verse 4 says, wrath is cruel and anger is a torrent, But who is able to stand before jealousy? Hate stirs up wrath and anger And it is OK to be angry towards sin. We have all heard the saying hate the sin not the sinner but in these last days that we are living in it is becoming harder to separate the two. And it would appear from this passage that jealousy is even worse than wrath and anger. Jealousy can bring out the worst in all of us and we need to guard our hearts from it. It is named in Galatians Chapter 5 verses 19 through 21 as a work of the flesh. Life is too short to be picking others apart and not looking at the mirror and getting the speck out of our own eye. My thought on this and I could be wrong is that we often do this to get the mirror off of ourselves. When Jesus says to love your enemies and Matthew Chapter 5 and verse 44 He was telling us to not hate people but to love them and hate the sin that has gotten a hold of their hearts. Matthew chapter 5 verse 44 says, but I say to you Love your enemies, Bless those who curse you, Do good to those who hate you, And pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you at verse 45 says, That you may be sons of your Father in heaven; For He makes the sun rise on the evil and on the good, And sends rain on the just and the unjust., And in ending pray for the rally that they are having in Dearborn MI today. That it doesn’t end up starting a civil war even though that might be what our country needs but pray for God’s will to be done and for God’s protection upon our Christian brothers and sisters that are heading there right now. And please continue to pray for our family here in Texas.
