” More than meets the eye ” Is the title of our devotion today. Ephesians chapter 2 verse one says, and you he made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins. How does that happen exactly? It only happens through the power of God and it is something that we can’t see with our physical eyes. We can see the effects of someone being made alive in Christ but we don’t see it spiritually happen. In John chapter three verse 8 Jesus said the wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound thereof but can’t tell where it comes from, and where it goes, so is everyone that is born of the Spirit. Just as we can’t see that happen physically we can’t see if someone is evil or not by looking. The Bible says judge not by appearance but use righteous judgment in John Chapter 7 Verse 24. What we can tell is by what a person says and does. I could tell a lot about a person by talking to them for just a few minutes or I could tell a lot about a person by their life. If we know a person is not a Christian Does that make us treat them badly or not like them? No, on the contrary we should love them and try to win them to Christ. We are in a spiritual battle like never before in these last days and we should be doing everything we can to win this lost and dying world to a loving wonderful Savior.
