Good morning and happy Friday to you all and I pray we all have a blessed weekend.

Our devotion on this Friday is called, ” One big mixed family ” In Colossians chapter one 19 and 20 it says for it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, And by Him to reconcile all things to Himself,, by Him, Whether things on Earth or things in heaven, Having made peace through the blood of His cross. If you notice through these verses in verse 13 He has delivered in verse 14 through His blood in verse 15 He is the image in verse 16 all things were created through Him and for Him in verse 17 and He is before all things and in Him all things consist in verse 18 and He is the head of the body the Church. He and Him are speaking of Jesus and Jesus is the one that pleased the Father that all the fulness should dwell? And that is the fullness of God. So Jesus is the one that is reconciling all things on Earth and in heaven back to Himself through the cross. This is the family of God and in this family it is a mixture of everything, every race, Which says there is a mixture of languages. And also a mixture of colors. And also a mixture of cultural ways. It blows my mind how much God relates to the human race by coming into the human race and being born into a mixed family. Jesus had a stepfather, Joseph and he had 7 half brothers and sisters. How Many of us are from a mixed family today? I happen to be one of the few that was raised in a family that had the same mom and dad until they died and we were all brothers and sisters. But now with me and Tina we have a big mixed family and we love it. And with the body of Christ it is the same thing, People from all different backgrounds and upbringings And yet we can come together with one person in mind that brings us all together and that person is Jesus. Like verse 20 says and in Him to reconcile all things to himself. That’s us, The body of Christ and we fit together perfectly somehow. Thank you so much Lord for coming down to this earth being born into a family where it would be a mixed family so you can relate so much with all of us. Whether you’re a mixed family or not you can fit in to this mixed family of believers that have one thing in common and that is that we love Jesus!
