” Out on a limb ” Is the title of our devotion today. In Luke chapter 19 verses four and five it says So he ran ahead and climbed up into a Sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house. Zacchaeus was a short man and he wanted to get a glimpse of Jesus. It must have taken some effort to climb up that tree so he could see Jesus walking down the road. It is amazing how Jesus notices his effort and says, today I must stay at your house. The Bible Teaches in Hebrew chapter 13 and verse 8, that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. This same Jesus notices when we go out of the way to seek his face, when we go out of the way to help others, And I really believe that he would say to us I’m gonna come stay at your house. The question is, Do we want Jesus to stay at our house? And I believe most people that read this do. Our mission in this life is to make Jesus known. How? By simple little things, like asking a waitress if she needs prayer or he needs prayer, by talking to your neighbor and praying for an opportunity to share the gospel with him. Also by being a light shining within your own family. Go out on a lamb for Jesus and get outside of your comfort zone and let somebody know that Jesus loves them.
