” Out the window ” Is the title of our devotion today. Malachi chapter 3 verse 10 says, Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, And try Me Now in this, Says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. What a great promise from God to Israel and I believe to us also. We know that in the book of Acts 20:35 it says, I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. The Bible teaches that God loves a cheerful giver and in Malachi 3 verse 10 God basically says try it out give me. And it doesn’t have to necessarily mean just money. You could give your time, your heart in things, Council. I was watching Extreme Home makeover years ago and they went into a poor neighborhood where a Christian lady fed the poor people and they fixed her house up, gave her a brand new barbecue and as they looked at the neighborhood they started helping all kinds of people and I will never forget the lady with tears in her eyes that was helping said this is such a blessing. And these scriptures came to mind that God’s word says it is more blessed to give than receive and that He will pour out the window of heaven blessings upon blessings to those who give of themselves. Please continue to pray for ice, and our military and our police as they fight to clean up our country.
