Daily Devotion
Psalm 4:1
Good morning everybody.
Thank you Lord for your tender mercies which endure forever.
Our devotion is in Psalm 4:1 which says, HEAR me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. David is praying like Jesus said in Matthew 6:9-13. He recognizes God for who He is, a God of righteousness and mercy. David was like all of us because he fell short of the glory of God. But he didn’t let that keep him from crying out to God in his darkest of times. David was a man after God’s own heart. He recognized how God had relieved him from distress and he knew God personally. Even though David was a king and a great king he knew Jesus was King of kings and Lord of lords. A huge part of getting humble is to recognize who God is and David had definitely done that. Remember what the Bible says, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble, James 4:6. It’s a great place to live.
Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
