Our Devotion on this Thursday is called, ” Riches and Honor and Life ” Proverbs 22 and verse 4 says, “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honor and life. There are some that might look at humility as a weakness when in reality it is a strength. The Bible Teaches that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. And when I think of our Lord Jesus and what it says about him Humbling Himself in Philippians chapter two and verse. It says, and being found in appearance of a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. When we fear the Lord it will humble us and because of that the Bible teaches riches honor and life will follow. The riches that we have are the riches that we have in Christ. To receive the grace of God and the mercy of God and to be taken from death to life is the greatest riches that anyone could ever have. And through that we will receive honor someday when we stand before Him and not receive eternal damnation. God is so good to us knuckleheads and let’s all thank Him for the great things He does for us!
