This Friday is 9/11 which is a devastating day for our country and let’s not forget what they did to us and remember to pray for our country and vote early for the midterms in November. We are going to start doing our devotions out of the book of Colossians. Colossians is the most Christian centered book in the Bible it’s directed at

God’s children and so our devotion this morning is called, ” To the Saints ” Colossians chapter one verses 3 and 4 says, We give thanks to the Lord God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the Saints. The Apostle Paul is thanking God and praying since he heard about the great things happening. We should have people in our lives that we are thanking God for and praying for every day. The book of James chapter 5 and verses 15 and 16 says, And the prayer of faith will save the sick, And the Lord will raise him up. and if he has committed sins He will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another That you may be healed. The effective, Fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. What these verses are saying in Colossians and in James is that prayer is so important and it is towards the Saints of God, In other words God’s children. Let’s pray for one another, Our pastors, Leaders and all of our family members and pray that we stay close to Jesus. Paul calls this church Saints and sometimes we might not feel like a Saint but we are if we are born again. So give thanks to the Lord and be praying for each other and have faith in God. So thank you to all who put your hand to the plow for Jesus! And once again thank you for your prayers for our family here in Texas especially for my daughter Melanie and for Jerek’s mother Fran.
