Slow to wrath and quick to listen

Good day to you all and thank you for the prayers! I am still feeling really bad because of these allergies, It almost feels like the flu but I do feel a little better.

Our Devotion today is called, “Slow to wrath and quick to listen “, Proverbs chapter 14 and verse 29 says, he who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly. I used to get angry at the drop of a hat. My temper would flare and I would say and do things that I would regret. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit over time that God has been able to tame that monster. Anger under control is a good thing, The Bible says to be angry and sin not, Ephesians 4:29. It’s OK to get mad but not to act upon the anger in a sinful manner! Great understanding comes from spending time with our creator and learning His ways and not ours. The last part of this verse says, but he who is impulsive exalts folly. The word impulsive means short of spirit and that happens because of not spending time with our Creator. Short tempered people get themselves in a lot of trouble, They create confusion, folly, and hatred among those around them. James chapter one and verse 19 says, so then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow the wrath; For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. I believe that sums it up pretty good. He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, but he who is impulsive exalts folly.

Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
