Anger management

Good day to you all from Texas and I hope you all had a blessed weekend. Pray for us. We are going into TLC Today to share the gospel with those in the hospital.

Our devotion today is called,” Anger management ” Proverbs chapter 19 and verse 19 says, a man of great wrath will suffer punishment; For if you rescue him, you will have to do it again. Anger is like a drug, it will cause you to do things that you normally wouldn’t and cause you to say things that you normally wouldn’t. Ephesians Chapter 4 and verse 26 says, be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath. Separating anger and sin is what we must learn to do and sometimes that’s not very easy. When we act upon our anger in ways that are not pleasing to God such as cursing, backbiting, or even wanting to hurt somebody is when we begin to fail. Proverbs chapter 19 and verse 19 says a man of great wrath will suffer punishment. What does that mean? It means our anger will get us into a lot of trouble whether it’s jail, Losing friends, Or maybe even doing physical damage to someone or someone doing physical damage to you. If we don’t get our anger under control we will suffer punishment in one way or another. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is self control Galatians 5 Verses 22 and 23. I do not have to return evil for evil, Romans 12:17. If someone says something bad about me it doesn’t mean I have to say something bad about them. As a child of God I will fail but I will not live there! I still have times when I might get angry but as an older Christian now I’ve learned not to react immediately when the anger raises its ugly head. James Chapter one and verse 19 says, so then, my beloved brother, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath and verse 20 says for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. The wrath of Man is our flesh, a righteous anger is from God and when we learn to separate the two we will be doing good.

Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
