Happy Friday to everybody and I pray we all have a blessed weekend.

The title of our devotion today is called, ” Finding the knowledge of God “. Proverbs chapter 2 verses 3 through 5 says yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. Discernment and understanding two things that God says to seek seriously and when you do this you will find the knowledge of God. What an amazing statement! First it says to cry out for discernment, righteous judgment and What is righteous judgment? It is what God has already judged and He has judged it in His word. We can all have our opinion on what we think. But God’s word is the final say in it all. And then second he says understanding. To understand why we’re here, what God wants of us, where God desires us to go in this life. When it comes right down to it we are all saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves, it is a gift of God not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. But to get a healthy walk with God and to know Him the way He desires us to know Him we must cry out for these things and that’s not any type of a work that is a relationship and that is what God requires of us. Finding the knowledge of God comes from searching for God and what God loves and what God hates because our God love’s righteousness and hates sin! I guess to boil it all down into one sentence we must search the scriptures to see if these things be so, Acts 17:11. And in searching the scriptures we will find discernment and understanding and the fear of the LORD.
