” Soul food ” Is the title of our devotion today Hebrews Chapter 4 verse 12 says, for the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. I love all kinds of food, Mexican food, Italian food, Chinese food, American food but the best food you can have is soul food. Soul food is eating up the word of God. Eating food satisfies our hunger and calms our stomach down. Soul food, eating up the word of God satisfies our soul. It causes us to have a peace that surpasses all understanding and it causes us to be content in our life and not strive for things that we shouldn’t. Soul food gives us the reason for being here. And that reason is to glorify God. When Hebrews chapter four verse 12 says that The word of God is alive or living it means just, God’s Word will speak to our heart if we’ll just take the time to read it and it is powerful It cuts through all of our pride and fakeness And gets right down to our heart and to our thoughts. It’s so good to take the time to read God’s word every morning and spend time with Jesus. God says in His word, Psalm 138:2, He has magnified His word above all His name. The word of God is so important!
