Happy Friday to everybody and I pray we all have a blessed weekend and please pray for our military that is fighting for our freedom from terrorism!

Our devotion on this Friday is called, ” The fruit of the Lord ” Proverbs chapter 8 and verse 19 says my fruit is better than gold, and my revenue then choice silver. The Beatles sang years ago Money can’t buy me love and that is the first fruit of the Holy Spirit Galatians Chapter 5 Verse 22. Jesus said In the Gospel of Mark chapter eight and verse 36 for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? I have noticed that those who have great riches seem to have to work continually to keep up their lifestyle and so what they began to work for ends up ruling them. There is nothing wrong with having great riches but if that’s where your heart is at then you’re missing the purpose of life. The verse here my fruit is better than gold yes than fine gold and my revenue then choice silver says you cannot compete with the treasures of God because the treasures of God are eternal and they give us the peace that surpasses all understanding. Think about it, the earth and the fullness thereof are the Lords, Psalm 24:1. Those that are trying to store up Treasures are taking what is God’s and putting it in there safe and guess what, It is not going to stay there! Store up treasures in heaven by serving Jesus!
