Our Devotion on this Wednesday is called, ” CRUCIFIED PART 2 ” Galatians 2:20 says, I have been crucified with Christ; It is no longer I who live, But Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. The words live and life appear 5 times in this verse. In order to have a resurrection life in Christ we must first die to ourselves and that’s what our last devotion talked about yesterday. But this devotion is about the life that we have because of being crucified with Christ. In John chapter 10 and verse 10 Jesus says, the thief does not come except to Steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. The only Way we will ever know abundant life is to die to self. When we baptize People, we baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and we say Buried in the likeness of his death and raised in the likeness of his resurrection and we see both of them in this verse. Resurrection life is the best life that a person could ever have. A life that delivers us from all the bondage that held us down. And we live this life by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave himself for us. And this faith also comes from being crucified in Christ and raised in Christ. Resurrection Faith that is given to us at the time we are born again and the way we can increase this faith is by the word of God, Romans chapter 10 and verse 17 Which says, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. When this all happened in my life all those years ago it is the best thing that ever happened to me and I can testify that God is real and he lives in me every. Being crucified with Christ and being raised with Christ is the best thing that could ever happen to any human being on this planet!
