” The good Samaritan ” Is the title of our devotion this morning. Luke Chapter 10 Verses 33 and 34 says, but a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an Inn, And took care of him. Speaking of the man who was beat up and robbed by thieves. I think that most people would do this for someone they liked or even for a stranger but to do this for an enemy is really above and beyond the call of duty. This is what Christ was talking about on the Sermon on the Mount when he said that we are to love our enemies. Most people will say well I try because it is not easy to love somebody that is considered an enemy. But always remember it’s not up to us, it’s up to Christ. It’s not how good we are, it’s how good He is. It’s not what we have done but what He has done. This Samaritan went the extra mile. He put this stranger, enemy, on his animal and rented a room for him and took care of everything so this man could get back on his feet. What a great show of compassion this is. And that is exactly how we should be. Love you all from Texas. Please continue to pray for our great country. For the Trump administration, for ICE agents, For our police, for our military, and for Israel.
